NEXXICE and Les Suprêmes to represent Canada at the WSSC 2018

On February 24, 2018, NEXXICE Senior captured their 11th Canadian title, securing their ticket with Les Suprêmes to the 2018 World Synchronized Skating Championships.

The Dumfries Ice Bowl, Scotland, was heaving with hoards of excited fans and skaters today with the culmination of the ISU event. 1500 competitor passes had been handed out for the 3 day competition and fans were sitting on steps and stood in crowds at the boards to watch the Junior and Senior events.

With a narrow lead, Paradise confirm their World title

And the gold... for Team Paradise! The Russian team won on Saturday night the ISU Seniors World Synchronized Skating Championships in Colorado Springs, USA. The Finnish Marigold Ice Unity took the silver medal at a few tenths of a point and the Canadian Nexxice received the bronze.

The ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships opened this Friday in Colorado Springs (USA) and the 24 participating teams presented their short programs on Friday evening. Team Paradise (RUS) is currently first, Marigold Ice Unity and Rockettes from Finland are respectively ranked second and third.

Saddle up… it’s Canadian Nationals!

This past weekend welcomed over 40 of Canada’s top synchronized skating teams to Calgary, Alberta for the 2017 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating championships. The competition was full of western pride as teams wore their cowboy hats and danced to country music with pride.
