Finnish teams wow the fans during short programs

The long-awaited synchronized skating season started on a sunny Saturday in Tampere, Finland. The competition was organized according to strict safety guidelines because of the Covid-19. The arrangements for the first day went well, and both the teams and the audience were happy. Helsinki Rockettes and Team Fintastic are leading the first qualifications.


Red and blue, the colours of victory in the Novices divisions

The Leon Lurje Trophy 2020 closed on Sunday with the Advanced and Basic Novice divisions. If the Advanced presented their program for the second time, the Basic Novices only got one shot in Gothenburg, Sweden.

On Saturday, Seniors and Juniors performed their free skating programs in Gothenburg, Sweden. Team Paradise and Team Sunrise 1 from Russia won the categories. Advanced Novices’ competition began and Team Sunrise 2 from Russia leads clearly. Leon Lurje Trophy 2020 was also the opportunity for many teams to set a new personal record!

Helsinki Rockettes and Team Mystique are leading the Finnish Second Qualifications

The Second Finnish Qualifications for Synchronized Skating teams are held in Lahti this weekend. Helsinki Rockettes are leading in Seniors. In Juniors' category Team Mystique took the first place but is followed by two teams within a point. Team Dynamique won the first section of Novice teams.


Thrilling Competitions at Finnish First Qualifications

There was no doubt of the winners in Seniors on Sunday, when Team Unique got 139.94 points from their free program and earned total scores 216.69. In the Junior category, Team Fintastic also kept the leading position and won the competition with 182.39 points. For the Novices division (second segment), Team Dynamique got the gold medal with 73.88.

Team Paradise leads the competition in French Cup

The 2017 World Champions Team Paradise, Helsinki Rockettes, and Team Unique are the senior current medallists in Rouen after the short programs on Friday evening. In the junior division, Russia and two American teams are leading.

Rockettes tops Senior category after short programs

The second qualifications in Finland are going on 3.-4.12.2016. The battle towards Senior's World Championships in the USA gets more and more exiting. After the short program, the gap in points is extremely small. Two Juniors representatives to World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships in Canada 2017 will be chosen on Sunday. All the twelve Novice teams to the Finnish Nationals are now selected.

Wonderful weekend at the 2016 Leon Lurje Trophy

Many synchronized skating teams kick off their international season this weekend at Leon Lurje Trophy 2016 in Gothenburg, Sweden. 9 advanced novice teams, 8 junior teams and 7 senior teams from Finland, Sweden, USA, Japan, and Latvia competed for medals.
