Senior skaters react to cancellation of Synchro Worlds

The cancellation of the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2020 in Lake Placid because of the coronavirus pandemic brought disappointment in the synchro community. Some skaters are still hoping that the event could be postponed.


Crystal Ice dominated on day one of Sheffield Steel City Trophy

The second ever Steel City Trophy kicked off this weekend 7-9th March, in Sheffield, England, with teams from around the world, in a variety of categories, coming to compete at an Olympic sized rink on the last weekend before Junior Worlds. After a hugely successful inaugural competition last year, Steel City Trophy has evolved quickly, attracting a record 74 teams in this year’s ISU and Club International Competition.

Team Unique (FIN), double winner!

An exciting weekend took place in Italy where the 4th and last stage of the Challenger Series was organized during the Spring Cup. The Finnish Team Unique confirmed their lead in the senior competition, Junost (RUS) won the junior event. Recap of this crazy day, team after team.

The Austrian team Sweet Mozart qualified for the Worlds 2020 in Lake Placid

They can now prepare the suitcases! The Senior team Sweet Mozart won the National Championship in Austria this weekend and got their tickets for the Worlds in Lake Placid in April 2020. One Junior team and three Novices also competed in Klagenfurt, the capital city of the southern Austrian province of Carinthia.

The new little sister of the Mozart Cup was born. Last Sunday, the first edition of AmadéCup took place in the RedBull Arena in Salzburg. After cheering the ISU categories on Friday and Saturday, the non-ISU teams competed on Sunday. Splitting the categories is a new trend in the world of synchronized skating.

Crystal Ice Junior and Team Unique lead at Mozart Cup

In a highly competitive senior category, there’s no room for mistakes when you’re wearing an outfit like Team Unique’s (FIN). On Friday night, they showed the competition who’s really ‘wearing the pants’ in Eisarena Salzburg, earning the top spot in the short program with 84.30 points. 

"Thank you Mozart Cup, and see you next year!"

The 2018 Mozart Cup ended on Sunday with the Interclub categories like Mixed Age, Senior B, Basic Novice, Juvenile or Adult. These divisions conclude a new successful edition of this famous international competition in Austria.

Canada, Russia, USA and Finland on the podium in Salzburg

For the Junior and Senior divisions, the 2018 Mozart Cup took place on Friday and Saturday in the scenic city of Salzburg in Austria. Les Suprêmes (CAN) bring home two medals, in gold and bronze. Teams from Russian, from the USA, and Finland completed the podiums.
