California Cup 2019: USA claimed the gold medals in the Short Programs

The first ISU Challenger Series competition, California Cup, is taking place in Irvine, California, USA. Teams from the United States, Canada, Finland, and Australia are a part of the inaugural event.
Starlights junior (USA) finished in third place after skating a theatrical performance of Cinderella.
After executing eye-catching three person connected 170 spirals, Nexxice junior (CAN) is sitting in fourth place.
Iceskateers Elite (AUS) finished in fifth place after performing an upbeat “Riverdance” program.
Senior: Haydenettes won the short program competition
Only one team broke into the 70s and it was the Haydenettes (USA), who are leading the competition after performing their emotional Celine Dion program.
Helsinki Rockettes (FIN) are sitting in second place after grabbing the audience’s attention during their “Emergency” short program.
Les Supremes and Nova, both from Canada, finished in third and fourth place respectively.
Skyliners (USA) landed in fifth place after a dramatic “Warrior” program.
Lumineers (FIN) skated into sixth place and are looking to move up the ranks tomorrow.
And coming all the way from Australia, Ice Storm finished in seventh place.
