Kaisa Arrateig's team has been working very hard and is enjoying the start of the new season. This weekend, Helsinki Rockettes will skate their new short program "Femme Fatale" for the first time in front of an audience.

A few hours before the start of the Finlandia Trophy synchro event, we asked the Helsinki Rockettes how they were doing.

"We are doing great! This week, we have done some last-minute changes in the program to make it even better," said the team.

What kind of changes?
"We have done little fixes to our no hold’s steps so that it would bring the best out of our skating skills. We also deepened our interpretation and fixed the circle," answered the Helsinki Rockettes.

"Our preparation went very well despite the pandemic. We are happy to see that the start of the season seems good and normal," the team continued.

This year, Helsinki Rockettes' short program is "Femme Fatale". The performance will bring on the ice a seducer, who gets anyone into her traps, explained the team.

The RCKT have 21 skaters this season, with 2 new talented athletes coming from the junior Team Fintastic.

Last year, Helsinki Rockettes were able to take part in a few rare competitions in Finland, and the team is thankful for that. "The season was obviously very different, but we used this time to develop our skating skills. We grew a lot as a team," said the skaters.

Kaisa Arrateig's team is looking forward to returning to competitions after a long period. "We feel confident with our program and the hard work we have done. We are ready and excited!"

"Our free program is a bit different but familiar Rockettes. Varying skill and music, difficult program," said the team, who has not yet revealed the theme of its free program.

One of the team's new features this season will be "the use of extra hair" on the ice.

Where? When?
This season Helsinki Rockettes will have more competitions than usual.

The team will be competing at Amber Cup, Latvia, at the end of November, Marie Lundmark Trophy in January 2022 in Finland, French Cup in France in February, and Spring Cup, Italy, later in February.

"Hope to see you all there!"
