Hugo Chouinard, the music magician

Six screens, audio tracks everywhere and music that is constantly playing... Welcome to the world of Hugo Chouinard, the sound designer who creates the arrangements for all the biggest synchronized skating teams. Today, we’re discovering HIS world!

Five events scheduled and a second junior team

The synchronized skating competition calendar in Switzerland has been published a few days ago. How this country located in the heart of Europe is preparing the upcoming season? Let's have a look!

Around the world, synchro teams gradually back on track

Some ice rinks and training centres are beginning to reopen in low-risk areas. In a few countries, strict regulations are in place. Skaters are limited to 5 or are encouraged to wear masks.

Did you know? 40 seconds of inactivity on the ice and your team will be withdrawn

The International Skating Union (ISU) has released its new Synchronized Skating Referees Handbook. This guide for all referees of our sport under the ISU Judging System gives us a lot of precious information.

The bumpy road to inline skating

The closure of all the ice rinks, although expected, still came as a shock. And an emotional one at that. A general anxiety took its place; about people I care about having their entire income cut, about people who have trained their whole lives to compete, who suddenly find themselves in limbo, about those whose lives revolve around the rink, those who use the ice as an escape and those who have found a passion in this icy world of ours. It’s a bit like losing a part of yourself. The obvious solution? Inline skates!

"We will continue to work hard off-ice for as long as it takes!"

Founded in 2011, Team Ice United starts this summer its 6th year in the Senior category. Before joining the highest level in sport, this team competed in the Mixed Age, and then in Senior B. Winners of the Dutch national championships last season, the team who has experienced some difficult years, is now "back on track" and is working hard towards the upcoming season.

She will give her name to a stage of the Challenger Series

Held in Turku (FIN) from 14 to 17 January 2021, the first-ever Finnish Synchronized Skating Challenger Series event will be called "Marie Lundmark Trophy". The name has been chosen to honor Marie Lundmark’s determined work for Finnish and international synchronized skating.

Virtual tryouts and trainings, the new reality of many synchro teams

In these difficult times, many synchro teams around the world are waiting to be back on the ice by continuing their virtual workouts. Some teams had to select new skaters for next season without seeing them on the ice. Reactions.

COVID cancelled summer camps but created new opportunities

Since the spread of the coronavirus, a big part of the world has been stopped, forcing the cancellation of all events, including the OneTeamMVMT summer camps. Working for the promotion of the sport, the organization offered fans of synchronized skating to meet in another way.
