But first, how do qualifications go in Finland?
The first thing to know is that the winner of this weekend event (Nationals) will automatically claim a place in the World Championships as the (Team Finland 1).

In the selection of the second team (Team Finland 2), the average of the top three overall results is calculated, of which a maximum of one result can be an ISU Challenger Series competition. The team with the highest average will be selected (excluding the winner of the Finnish Senior Championship).

If the difference between the average of the three competitions between the two teams is less than five points, the winning statistics of the domestic competitions are checked. In this situation, the team with more mutual wins is designated as the FIN 2 team.

In short, it's the same system as last season. At the beginning of this weekend, the statistics on the competition selections are led by Helsinki Rockettes (avg. 224.49), followed by Team Unique (avg. 222.92), Marigold IceUnity (avg. 212.08) and Lumineers (avg. 204.49).

Senior: a great competition to come for 1st and 3rd place
On Saturday, the Helsinki Rockettes took a narrow lead, gathering 78.64 points. The second is Team Unique. They also succeeded very well in their program and got a total score of 77.93 points.

The biggest surprise of the day was that the Lumineers finished in third place with 70.49 points. Marigold IceUnity is very near with a total score of 70.42 after the SP.
