German Championships 2016: Team Berlin and Skating Graces on the podium
Erika-Heß-Eisstadion in Berlin hosted last weekend the German national championships. Senior, Junior and Novice teams tried to catch the gold. Find out the summary of this competition.
One of the most significant elements of this event was Team Berlin 1 who won this year their 22nd consecutive title! Dressed in purple costumes, the Senior team from Berlin earned 56.80 points for the short. They did 109.17 points during their free on the theme of demons and angels.
The second Senior team engaged was Skating Graces. The team from Chemnitz took the silver medal with a total of 123.24 points (40.11 + 83.13 points).
In the Junior category, only one team skated in Berlin this year. Team Berlin Juniors won the gold medal with 114.72 points.
Novice’s field was composed of two teams. Team Berlin Novice did the best score with 47.49 points. The Berlin skaters presented their new free program on Kung Fu Panda’s theme.
Skating Graces Novice finished 2nd with 39.68 points. Last year, Skating Graces was the winner in Novices with a 5 points gap with Team Berlin Novice.
