The Marie Lundmark Trophy in Finland is ready to welcome teams from all over the world from January 21 to 23, 2022. The sanitary conditions in the country are good and the public is allowed.

The international competition Marie Lundmark Trophy 2022 has been confirmed. This Challenger Series event will be held at the Gatorade Center, Turku, Finland, from January 21st to 23rd, 2022.

At the moment, the Covid-19 situation is better in Finland. Sports events can have supporters again, and the organizing committee is very confident because competitions can be held again quite normally in Finland. Also, the major part of the citizens has got a Covid-19 vaccination.

At the moment, ice rinks do not have customer capacity restrictions if customers present a COVID-19 passport.

For this third stage of the 2021-2022 Challenger Series, the Marie Lundmark Trophy organizing committee (OC) expects synchro teams coming from outside Europe because all synchro skaters and staff are now anxious to participate in competitions after such a long break.

Compete and visit
For fans and teams' supporters, why not take advantage of the trip to visit Turku, this city located less than two hours from Helsinki by train or by car.

The organizing committee has started marketing cooperation with local authorities to give fans great tourism opportunities.

Turku is Finland´s oldest town and the former Finnish capital. This university city is situated on seven hills and in the arms of the archipelago. The Aura River, flowing through the center, is the heart and soul of the city, and nothing can be more pleasant on a sunny winter day than to follow it down to the sea by walk or by skate.

Also, note that Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for four years in a row in the World Happiness Report.

"If you are planning a tour to Europe, we would be pleased to see you in Finland! Our team has a good reputation and strong experience organizing successful events. Finnish figure skating fans are the most enthusiastic in the world, and you can be sure that there will be enough sound in the ice rink. The competition will be organized in the City of Turku, which can be reached directly by train (or by plane) from Helsinki-Vantaa airport," adds the organizing committee.
