Senior ISU Short Program
This season Helsinki Rockettes has a lot at stake: the team will defend the world championship they won in April this year 2025, not to mention Team Unique which starts the season as the reigning Finnish Champion and World Championship silver medalists.  However, we should not forget the other two Senior teams: Marigold Ice Unity is a multiple Finnish Champion and World Champion and season after season The Lumineers have been steadily progressing their performances.

In their performance of “Nothing Compares TU” Team Unique showed how beautifully to combine sensitivity and strength. They won the competition with 75.42 points. They did best in the Intersection-element, where they received three fives and two fours from the judges. They also got the best Program Component Score (37.00) while Helsinki Rockettes was best in Technical elements (40.27) having better base value.

The Helsinki Rockettes was the first senior team to take to the ice. Despite one fall their performance “O Fortuna” was confident and flawless and full of passion, which suited the music perfectly. They earned a total score of 75.19 and the second position.

Marigold Ice Unity really entertained the audience with their happy and energetic “We Can Can Can!” program and they also succeeded extremely well. They kept their unbelievable pace and even increased it towards the end.  They got 73.38  points and took third place.

Once again the Lumineers` program “Wuthering Heights l” was a pleasure to watch. The music, dresses and choreography fit their style well. The program included one unfortunate fall, they got 67.29 points and they placed in third place.

Junior ISU Short Program
The Finnish Junior teams also began the fight for representation at the Junior World Championships, which will be held in March 2026 in Gdansk, Poland.
All five top teams had a great chance of doing so, even though the differences between them were growing in the day's competition.

Dream Edges' devoted and peaceful program “Ave Maria “had progressed a lot and with a total score of 72,04 the team took first place. In grey-white dresses they expressed the music beautifully and their unisono was flawless.

In Musketeers` exciting and fast-paced program “Playing with Power “the skaters kept up the breath-taking speed and good synchro throughout the entire program. With a total score of 70.46 the team took second place.

Only 0.02 points separated Valley Bay Syncro from Musketeers and with 70.44 points the team came third. However, their sensitive mood program “Blooming” received the second-best Technical Element Score 40.17.

Words that could describe Team Mystiques´ program “Jukebox” are: easy-going, fun, relaxed and happy. The team came forth and got 67.69 points. Especially their technical scores weren't quite at the top level.

Unfortunately, Helsinki Fintastic didn't succeed in their program “It's Time to Dance!”. They had a really great pace and perhaps due to it there were four falls. The team - reigning Junior World Championship silver medalist - ultimately finished in seventh place with a score of 54.00 points.

Novice ISU (part 1)
Team Dynamique and their program “The Operation Diamond” got 85.65 points and the first place. They had good speed and the team stood out for their good presentation and skating skills. Their No Hold Element was especially well executed.

Team Starlights came second with their beautiful program” The Little Prince”. Even one fall in the intersection didn´t interfere much with their performance, but of course the fall was seen in the points and standings. They earned 82.94 points and their good skating skills also stood out to their advantage.

The third place went to team Diamond Edges. The skaters were especially happy and surprised with their good scores of 80.60. The theme of their program is” Superstition” and they skated in beautiful light blue dresses.

On Sunday, the competition continues with the free programs of the Seniors, Juniors and the second group of Novices.
