Rockettes kept the leading position after the short program and won the first Finnish qualifications on Sunday. Their choreography was difficult and full of interesting details and they skated with no major errors. The dresses were eye-catching, imaginary and decorative. Their theme “Valkyria” describes the respect for powerful women all over the world. With their free program, they earned 127,69 points giving 194,62 points as a final result.
rnThe silver medalist is Team Unique with a total points of 189,77 points. Their free program “Inside of Us” gathered 126,29 points (only 1,4 point less than Rockettes). The program was very touching, presentation was smooth and expressive in spite of the high technical difficulties. Their theme tells a story how everyone meets the sorrow in his life can find a new beginning in the beauty of the life. Tears were seen in the eyes of the public.
rnMarigold IceUnity skated in their blue-and-white dresses on a very powerful and patriotic theme called “Finland 100”. This program got 123,47 points on Sunday. With a total points of 183,86, they won the bronze medal this weekend. The program this year celebrates the future anniversary of Finland´s 100 years on independency. To do that, they had chosen music of Sibelius, The Finlandia Hymn. The atmosphere of this precise and skillful presentation was noble and devoted.
rnThe free program of Revolutions gathered 96,25 points, with a total score of 148,24 points. So they stayed on the fourth place. In absolutely beautiful dark blue dresses, they skated on the theme “Why don´t you do right, like some other men do” with good attitude. Their performance was very feminine and charming. Their light and sensual music was a refreshing choice for the competition.
rnThe second qualification will take place in Helsinki (3.-4.12.2016). This competition between the Senior teams will be even more exciting than last weekend: only a few points separate the first teams!
