Following the junior Suprêmes' gold medal a few weeks ago, the senior team Les Suprêmes has replicated their success by securing the gold title for the 3rd consecutive time! The American Haydenettes also pushed the Helsinki Rockettes down the ranks, finishing with a historic silver medal.

Les Suprêmes are back! After a flawlessly skated free program on the theme of Mount Everest, the team literally climbed a mountain to secure the gold world title for the third time.

The team from Saint-Leonard, Quebec, scored a massive 237.97 points at the end of their two programs. Les Suprêmes managed to achieve nearly all level 4s in their free program and were even the only team to receive a few 10.00s in the "program components". The Canadians thus won the gold medal with a comfortable lead of more than 4 points.

Two historical facts
Les Suprêmes are not the first team to have clinched the world gold multiple times. The Swedish Team Surprise, it's worth noting, had won gold six times, the Finnish team Marigold IceUnity five times, the Helsinki Rockettes (FIN) three times, and Team Paradise (RUS) who also won gold three times. However, no team had ever secured three titles in a row, and that is historic.

Another historic element is undoubtedly the silver medal of the Haydenettes (USA). The American team, which brilliantly skated to "Who Wants to Live Forever," has several world medals to its credit but had never before clinched silver! Third after the short program, the team coached by Saga Krantz made its way to the second step of the podium, pushing the Finnish teams to the 3rd and 4th places.

The two Finnish teams both presented a clean free skate with incredible speed and impressive elements. Second in 2023, the Helsinki Rockettes finished with the bronze medal and 229.84 points. Team Unique meanwhile collects a score of 227.11 and 4th place.

The other Canadian team, Team Nova Senior, which only experienced its 2nd world championships, achieved an incredible performance Saturday evening by skating to "SOS d'un Terreen En Détresse". This Quebec team thus achieved its best score on the world stage: 5th place with 211.58 points.

Skyliners (USA), after a free program to Romeo and Juliet, obtained 6th place (206.27). A nice improvement since their last participation in the Worlds in 2019 when they finished 8th.

Thanks Zagreb
Thanks to a very good free program, Team Berlin 1 (GER) moved up one place in the ranking to finish 7th. As the 4th best country, Germany will therefore send two teams next year, as was the case this season.

Note that Hungary will also be able to send a 2nd team in 2025 since Team Passion finished 8th with 187.99. Team Ice on Fire, the young Italian team full of talent, ranks 9th, just behind (185.53).

Several beautiful moments will remain memorable: the stunning entry into the group lift by Team Inspire (SWE), which lifted the skater from underneath, the incredible Y-shaped death spiral by Team Unique, or the cry of joy from the senior Supremes in the Kiss & Cry.

After a 15-year absence, Zagreb provided the synchro teams and fans with their share of emotions.
