A few days ago, we introduced you to the Gold Ice teams. This organization is based in Ontario, Canada, and the teams are coached by three energetic young ladies. Today, they tell us more about their teams and their wishes for the future.

Gold Ice has a long history of producing championship synchronized skating teams. Representing Skate Canada Brampton-Chinguacousy, all skaters come from all across the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada, and are trained by three young and talented coaches.


Andrea Nesbitt: "If we can get through this season, we can conquer any obstacle"

Andrea Nesbitt lives in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and she coaches teams out of Brampton, which is in the Greater Toronto area. When she answered our questions, she was enjoying getting back into a more normal fall routine. It is definitely a strange season with lots of unknowns.

Ontario Regionals: One Step Closer to Calgary

The 2020 Ontario Regional championships took place at the Markham Centennial Community Centre from February 7th-9th. 89 teams from Windsor to Ottawa competed over the 3 day period, with teams in Novice, Intermediate, Open, Junior and Senior vying for a trip to the 2020 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships in Calgary, Alberta in just over 2 weeks.

The best junior teams blew up the scores

Almost 200 points! This is the score obtained by Team Fintastic at the Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy this weekend. The Finnish team won the Junior competition hands down. The Skyliners (USA) took the gold in the Senior division.
