A major synchro competition in a country in lockdown

Although the Netherlands are in lockdown, the 5th Lumière Cup started on Friday in Eindhoven. A relief for the organizers who are setting up for the first time a Challenger Series competition.


Synchro teams must constantly adapt to restrictions

Since this weekend, the new curfew in the Netherlands further limits synchro teams' training. The practices were already severely affected by the restrictions.

"We will continue to work hard off-ice for as long as it takes!"

Founded in 2011, Team Ice United starts this summer its 6th year in the Senior category. Before joining the highest level in sport, this team competed in the Mixed Age, and then in Senior B. Winners of the Dutch national championships last season, the team who has experienced some difficult years, is now "back on track" and is working hard towards the upcoming season.

Team Unique (FIN), double winner!

An exciting weekend took place in Italy where the 4th and last stage of the Challenger Series was organized during the Spring Cup. The Finnish Team Unique confirmed their lead in the senior competition, Junost (RUS) won the junior event. Recap of this crazy day, team after team.

In a few hours, the first Challenger Series of synchronized skating will have its winner. Saturday evening, 23 Senior teams presented their short program in Milan. Recap of the competition before the free programs!


Marigold IceUnity (FIN), Back In Business in the Netherlands!

Lumière Cup 2019 took place this weekend in Eindhoven (NED). 30 synchro teams competed on Saturday evening with their Free Programs. Cool Dreams won the Advanced Novice division, Musketeers delivered an excellent skate and earned the Junior gold and Marigold IceUnity put out a beautiful program in the Senior category.

Lumière Cup 2019: Finland tops Junior and Senior Short Program

Finnish teams cruised to their first gold medal in European international competition this season. After the Short Program competition, Marigold IceUnity totaled 74.94 points to seal the Senior victory. Musketeers skated into the lead in the Junior event with 69.98 points. Canada, Germany and France are also on the provisional podium.

Nexxice Senior dominated the 2019 Trophy d’Ecosse

Sunday saw the close of the weekend’s competition at the Trophy d’Ecosse in Dumphries Ice Bowl. Several synchro teams from around the world competed against each other and traveled back home with new medals.
