Finnish teams kept dominating the fourth Hevelius Cup in Gdansk, Poland. On Sunday, the ISU categories Senior, Junior and Advanced Novices skated their free programs. Finland took eight medals of nine. In the Interclub competition, it was turn of Juvenile B, Basic Novices and Mixed Age to compete
The Second Finnish Qualifications for Synchronized Skating teams are held in Lahti this weekend. Helsinki Rockettes are leading in Seniors. In Juniors' category Team Mystique took the first place but is followed by two teams within a point. Team Dynamique won the first section of Novice teams.
There was no doubt of the winners in Seniors on Sunday, when Team Unique got 139.94 points from their free program and earned total scores 216.69. In the Junior category, Team Fintastic also kept the leading position and won the competition with 182.39 points. For the Novices division (second segment), Team Dynamique got the gold medal with 73.88.
The first day in Finnish nationals has been really exciting. On Saturday, the Senior and Junior teams have shown their best in Turku. The Novice division competed also on Saturday.
The 25th French Cup started in a good atmosphere, as so many times before. It empowered the performances of the top teams so that in Senior category the five top teams are within 2.51 points after the short program while Team Paradise from Russia is leading the competition. In the Junior division, the tight fight for the victory should be between Dream Edges (FIN) and Junost (RUS). The difference between the two teams is only 0.18 points. Team Dynamique (FIN) captured the win in the Advanced Novice category.
The second National Synchronized Skating Qualification in Finland started today in Tampere. After the short programs, Marigold IceUnity leads the Senior competition. In Juniors, Dream Edges took the first place and Team Dynamique is the winner of today´s Novice competition.
It has been an exciting weekend at Espoo Metro Arena. On Sunday Finnish Junior and Senior teams continued competing with their free programs and the second section of the Novice teams had their competition. There was a lot of new tricks and innovative elements which made the competition even more interesting.
Big trill this weekend in Finland. On Saturday, the senior and junior best teams have shown their best in Helsinki during the short programs and the scores are very close. The big tension is the senior division because, at the end of the weekend, we’ll know which teams will represent Finland at the 2018 World Championships. The Novice division competed also on Saturday.
The 2017 World Champions Team Paradise, Helsinki Rockettes, and Team Unique are the senior current medallists in Rouen after the short programs on Friday evening. In the junior division, Russia and two American teams are leading.
This is an important weekend in Finland. The synchro teams are competing in Jyväskylä for the second official qualifications of the season. On Saturday, Novices skated their free and Seniors and Juniors presented their short program.
