On Saturday, Seniors and Juniors performed their free skating programs in Gothenburg, Sweden. Team Paradise and Team Sunrise 1 from Russia won the categories. Advanced Novices’ competition began and Team Sunrise 2 from Russia leads clearly. Leon Lurje Trophy 2020 was also the opportunity for many teams to set a new personal record!
The free skating competition was tight between the three teams. Team Unique from Finland was third in free skating with 147.58. In total, they got 227.61 points which was enough for the second place.
Crystal Ice Senior from Russia was 4th after short programs, but the skaters managed to get to the third place with 223.44 points. They received 149.09 points for their free skating program to "Bollywood" which was the second-best of the day.
The teams from the United States, Miami University (186.98) and Crystallettes (180.77) kept their positions. Hot Shivers from Italy was placed 9th with 158.15 points. Team Berlin from Germany got 149.71 in total, after an energetic program to "Aquaman".
Team Passion from Hungary and Ice Storms from Australia completed the Senior rankings.

Russian teams, unbeatable in Juniors
Crystal Ice Junior from Russia failed their pivoting block which cost them lots of points. They earned 122.23 for their free program which was placed third. With a total score of 196.81, they kept second place.
Team Fintastic from Finland had the second-best free skating program (127.16). They had one fall in no hold element, but otherwise, the program was clear. They were placed third with a total score of 193.35.
With 15 participating teams, the Junior division was an exciting event to follow!

First competition day for the Novices
Team Sunrise 2 from Russia took a huge lead after earning 49.53 (99.05) points. Their performance was overpowering. They even had an angled intersection which is rarely seen in the Advanced Novice category.
Crystal Blades from Finland are in second place with 36.37 (72.74) points. They were the first team to skate, and apparently did not know the segment score was only half of their program score, as they were a bit upset. The scoring system was explained to the audience and skaters later.
Blue Arrows from Finland is currently in third place after earning 34.34 (68.68) points for a clear program. Competition continues on Sunday and will be exciting as Team Limelight from Sweden is less than a point away from the podium.
