All about «Samarochka» competition in Russia


Several Russian teams ended their season in Samara, on the banks of the Volga River.

A total of 18 teams competed last weekend in Samara, Russia, at the «Samarochka» event. The synchro teams were divided into four different categories.

In the Basic Novice category, team Golden Prize from Saint-Petersburg took the first place with 46.03 points. Angels from Tolyatti earned 42.38 points and Serpantin earned the bronze medal with 39.30 points.

All Advanced Novice medalists skated a very clean program. The victory went to Sunrise-2 from Saint-Petersburg (86.02). Edelweiss from Tolyatti claimed the silver medal with 74.42 points. The bronze medal was for a team from Omsk, Aquamarine 2 (72.06).


Six Russian teams took part in the Junior category. They came from six different cities in Russia. From Tolyatti, Zhemchuzhina won the competition with a wide margin (171.32). The second title was taken by Orlenok from Perm’ (153.70). Aquamarine from Omsk earned the bronze with 146.36 points.

Dream Team from Samara was only team competing in Senior category. The team skated two clean programs and earned 182.63 points in total.
