Oberstdorf, an opportunity to highlight adult skaters

The annual ISU International Adult Figure Skating Competition took place over five days in Oberstdorf, Germany, at the end of May. Of the 350 skaters represented in all skating disciplines, five Adult teams and one Masters team took part in the event.

The annual ISU International Adult Figure Skating Competition took place in Oberstdorf from May 23 to 28. More than 350 competitors and 28 nations were represented. 

In the Adult division, four European synchro teams were competing. Team Berlin (GER) won the competition with a total of 40.57. Team Antique from Finland finished 2nd (36.92). This was the 4th time the Helsinki team took part in the competition (2012, 2018, 2019, 2022).

Team Iceliners from Basel in Switzerland took 3rd place with a very close score of 36.42, and the 2nd Swiss team, Starlight Diamonds from Zurich, finished 4th, very close to the podium (35.57).

Only one team competed in the Masters category. It is the Goldies team from the Czech Republic. The team totalled a nice score of 59.05.

The ISU Adult competition began in Oberstdorf in 2005 and continued each year (except for 2020 and 2021). In 2016, the ISU added a second annual competition – in North America (Canada one year, the USA the following year).

Team Berlin Adult 

The following adult ISU competition will take place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from September 21 – 24, 2022.  The next competition in Oberstdorf will be held on May 15 - 20, 2023.
