This week is usually the week of the Senior Worlds. Athletes and fans miss this long-awaited competition held every year in early April.
As the Worlds should have started today, April 8, in the Croatian capital, Jura Synchro has collected skaters' impressions.
"Super sad!" agreed one of the team captains of the Helsinki Rockettes in Finland.
"Heartbroken," continued Lisa from the team Starlight in Switzerland. Her first Worlds were in 2019 in Helsinki, and "since then, we learned so much and gained confidence. Now we can't wait to show it next year in Hamilton!"
For a Sweet Mozart's skater in Austria, this is a second time that Worlds could be organized and that "synchro could become closer to be Olympic". The team from Austria has not trained this season but has high hopes of getting back on track next year.
A skater from Team Berlin agreed: "It's sad that it's been cancelled for the second time, but it's definitively the right decision." She is also looking forward to next year in Hamilton as it will be her first senior World Championships.
This will be the second time that the city of Hamilton will host this major competition. The last time was in 2015!
