2020 Survey: Winners, conclusions and new features

Image

Thank you! The season 2019/2020, despite an unfortunate abrupt ending, was very rewarding and you were there once again to support us. The results of the survey showed that more and more people following the news and the work that the Jura Synchro team does. Before telling you about the winners, I would like to speak about the results of this survey and the future of Jura Synchro.

Many of you participated in the 2020 survey. The number of feedbacks is higher than we've expected. However, we have identified several possible improvements, and we will immediately apply three of them:

1 / Fewer ads
One of the disadvantages of the website is the random advertising that appeared on your screens. One of the first improvements, which started while the survey was still open, was to reduce the number of ads to make the content more comfortable to read. To make up for this lack of revenue, we will continue to collaborate with partners so that the costs of the site can be covered and that Jura Synchro can continue to develop.

2 / Highlighted teams and categories
For two seasons, we have been striving during the winter period to publish one article per day on the website. The objective is totally fulfilled because, during the 2019-2020 season (October-April), we posted nearly 200 articles. We also added other kinds of content: 750 photos, 200 scores, or 80 videos. Each of these additions allows the sport to build lasting archives. We will, therefore, continue on this path, also adding interviews and reports concerning smaller and less known teams.

3 / A newsletter
Following your feedback, we offer you a newsletter. It will allow you to discover: articles you may have missed, exclusive content and contests (which you will only find through the newsletter) and the main events to come. You can also subscribe now to keep informed about the world of synchronized skating. The link is here: www.jurasynchro.com/newsletter

And now?
Many of you have also asked for new developments on Jura Synchro. But as you can imagine it takes a little time. Some projects are already well underway but require several days (or weeks!) of work. The summer season is coming and we can, therefore, give more time to future developments. You will have the pleasure of discovering different new features this summer (or maybe sooner if we are making good progress). We will keep you informed.

Note also that we would like to answer to all people who asked us questions in the survey and who want to join us in the Jura Synchro family. However, it may take several weeks given the number of reactions received... but I promise, we will do it as soon as possible!

And the winners are…
And... the winners of the 2020 survey are:

  • Sissi from Finland
  • Elisabeth of Germany
  • Danielle from Canada

These three synchro fans won a Jura Synchro gift pack! We cannot reveal the content of the surprise but the gift will obviously contain... Swiss chocolate. We are doing our best to send you this and thank you all for participating!

Thank you very much to you for your support, your kind and supportive messages...

Each sharing, each like, each comment goes straight to our hearts. As journalists, it is a real joy to see that our work is read, discovered and appreciated. Four years ago, we did not think that Jura Synchro would evolve in this way, so quickly and with so much strength.

Every day, we try to give back to this sport all the joys and all the emotions that it gave us and still gives us. We do our best to keep you informed and as often as possible. We are also trying, by all means, to show the rest of the world that this discipline deserves a place at the top of the sport.

The whole Jura Synchro team is working voluntarily and it is with enormous pleasure that we all fight for this sport alongside our family and professional life. For us, it is an honor to be your network. We have found our place in the big synchro family and we thank you.

We would also like to sincerely thank everyone who contributes weekly to Jura Synchro. Thank you to correspondents, photographers, proofreaders, developers. And once again, thank you for your support. Synchro isn't just a sport, and you prove it to us every day.

Stay healthy.

Amélie and Remo De Tomi

PS: Ah yes, another good news, we got married ;-)
