Top coaches, choreographers and other professional skaters will share their expertise to encourage skaters from around the world to keep on training despite the current challenging times.

Starting on April 19, the “Keep Training!” online training sessions organized by the International Skating Union (ISU) will propose range off-ice activities focusing on skating specific exercises, strength training or contemporary dance. "These training sessions are suitable for skaters of all levels. Sport amateurs and fitness enthusiasts can also follow the exercises with the awareness that no exercise should exceed their physical capacity," write the ISU in a press release.

Renowned coaches and and skating professionals
Renowned coaches and sports professionals have been selected to lead the sessions.

The first lesson will start on April 19, with the two-time World Champion and 2006 Olympic Silver Medalist in figure skating Stéphane Lambiel. The creative skater is now the head coach of the Skating School of Switzerland. His off-ice lesson will be focused on "Strength & Plyometrics" and will start at 10:00 am (CET time).

For the following lessons, the ISU will be live from the IWIS International Training Center Bangkok on April 20, the day after from Oberstdorf (GER) with a dance teacher, and the program continues until April 24.

The ISU explains also that all ISU Sports, including Speed Skating and Short Track will be covered. The sessions can be followed live or at your own pace at home.
