Team Unique and Team Fintastic leaders in Finland

The first National Synchronized Skating Qualification in Finland started today in Espoo. After the short programs on Saturday, Team Unique leads the Senior competition. In Juniors, Team Fintastic took the first place and Finettes is the winner of today´s Novice competition.

A strong performance for Team Unique
After the short programs, Team Unique is leading the Senior category clearly. Their skillful and sharp performance "Bad Que" earned 76.75 points. The program was full of fast details and it was performed with a great attitude. Helsinki Rockettes gathered 72.18 points and is in second place. The effective "Alarm" program was strongly and convincingly skated.

The third was Marigold IceUnity. The team earned 68.08 points. Their thrilling "Escape Room" themed program was powerfully interpreted but didn't reach all the intended technical levels. Lumineers took fourth place with 62.69 points. They skated beautifully and harmoniously in the violin music "Stormscar´s Maya". The atmosphere of the program really managed to touch the audience. 

Team Fintastic and Dream Edges are neck and neck
In the Junior competition, Team Fintastic took the leading position after the short programs with 66.45 points. Their beautiful program "Sound of Silence" was strong and confident wholeness. Only 0.3 points behind the leader, Dream Edges is in second place (66.15). They skated the "Addiction" themed program with captivating interpretation. The Musketeers are third with 59.43 points. The Scorpion Attack program was powerfully skated, but there were some losses in technical levels.

Novices: A huge score for Finettes
The Novice competition is in two parts. The first teams competed on Saturday and the rest will skate on Sunday.

Team Finettes was the winner of the first section earning 86.40 points with their program "The Invisible Guardian". Starlights took the silver medal with 78.51 points, which was quite a gap from the winner. The third was Diamond Edges. Their Mexican atmospheric program "Dia de Los Muertos" gathered 70.23 points.

Those first Finnish qualifications continue tomorrow with the free programs. This will be a very exciting competition because, for the first time this season, teams will skate their free program in front of the audience and judges.
