Hosted by Wissahickon Skating Club, the Philadelphia Synchronized Skating Invitational 2019 took place last weekend in Sewell, New Jersey. More than 20 synchro teams started their competitive season.

"We had a tremendous turnout for our 2019 Philadelphia Synchronized Skating Invitational and Judges Critiques. The format of on-ice critiques, combined with competition events, allows the teams to get early feedback with detailed comments and scores," the organizing committee commented after the event.

Representing Washington FSC, DC EDGE clinched victory in Junior ISU event and won both programs and totaled 146.20. Team Synchroettes took the silver medal (78.24). Only two teams competed in the Junior category.

Eight teams competed in the Intermediate division. DC EDGE's skaters finished first in the competition (51.24). Triangle Formation arrived in second position with 49.88 and Team Ashburn earned the bronze medal with a total score of 45.64.

Once again, DC EDGE won the Novice event by scoring a great 58.35. Team Delaware picked up the silver medal (51.89), followed closely by Team Ashburn Novice (51.30). Synchroettes Novice ranked fourth in the Free Skate. 

Younger synchro teams also competed at the Philadelphia Synchronized Skating Invitational 2019.

DC EDGE took the gold medal in the Juvenile competition with a score of 38.47. Synchroettes came second (34.64), and Team Ashburn stood in third place (28.98). Triangle Formation placed in fourth position (26.91). 

Team Exton Edge won the Synchro Skills Level 1 event, followed by Team Ashburn. They also got the gold in the Snowplow Sam division, Team Reflections from Central Pennsylvania earned the silver title.
