After Notthingham in 2020, the city of Angers, France has been chosen by the International Skating Union (ISU) for the World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2021. The French skating federation published the information today.

The information has just been announced on social networks.

The ISU Junior World Synchronized Skating Championships 2021 will be held in the French city of Angers located about 300 km (190 mi) southwest of Paris. The French Skating Federation (FFSG) confirmed this information today after having received the assignment from the ISU.

"It's a chance for us and for our country to host the World Championships and it's also a great opportunity to make known and develop synchronized skating in France. We look forward to welcoming and seeing best junior teams in the world," said the team Chrysalides (FRA).

"Even if we maybe not qualify, we will be happy to be able to go see the competition since it will take place only a few hours from our city", continued the junior team based in Valenciennes.

After Helsinki (FIN) in 2013, Zagreb (CRO) in 2015 and 2018, Mississauga (CAN) in 2017, and Neuchâtel (SUI) last season, this will be the first time that France will host such an important competition.

Also note that before France, Great Britain will have to  organize this event this season in the city of Nottingham. The competition will take place from March 13 to 15, 2020.
