After the Short, Helsinki Rockettes are leading the Finnish Nationals

The first day in Finnish nationals has been really exciting. On Saturday, the Senior and Junior teams have shown their best in Turku. The Novice division competed also on Saturday. 

After the short program,s Helsinki Rockettes is leading the Senior competition with 82,37 points. Their “Symphony of Passion” was full of emotion and the program was strongly performed despite of few minor mistakes. The second, Marigold IceUnity, earned 80,31 points in their program “Why not”. The performance was steady and passionate, but they didn’t get all the technical levels like they should.

Team Unique is not far behind. Despite one unfortunate fall in the intersections, they earned 78,81 points. Their street dance program “Muzic makez me…” was full of energy, speed and skillfull technique. Lumineers was the fourth with points 73,08 and it was really pleasant to watch their accurate “Raven” -program.

In the Junior category, Dream Edges continues its winning course. After the short program, they are leading with 77,20 points. The performance was confident and beautifully skated wholeness. Not far behind is Team Fintastic which is the other Finnish representative in the 2019 WJSSC. They earned 75,15 points in their program “The Curse of the Ghost Riders”.

Musketeers is third with 72,48 points. The Cosplay theme was colourfully and playfully performed but only 0,91 points behind them are Valley Bay Synchro (71,57). They skated strong short program with good confidence and will totally fight for the medals on Sunday.

Like the last year, Starlights was the winner of the Novice competition. Their program “The Grinch” earned them 67,26 points. Team Dynamique got once again the silver medals earning 65,86 points in their beautiful ballerina themed program “Never give up”. Diamond Edges was third earning 63,06 points.

On Sunday, the competition continues when Senior and Junior teams will skate their free programs. Everything can still happen, and the only sure thing is that there is no possibility of errors if you want to win!
