The New Year countdown is over, the glasses of champagne are empty and even if the table in the living room is still in disorder, Jura Synchro reviews the highlights of this past year, the future projects and also our good resolutions. 3... 2... 1... Happy New Year!

2018, A big year for Jura Synchro

Let's look back for a moment at the big changes made during the year 2018. The most visible: a brand new website. Following a survey conducted at the end of the 2017/2018 season, it appeared that the website needed a good refresh. So we have developed a "Jura Synchro 3rd Version". Even if everything is not perfect yet, we strive to improve the platform as soon as we can.

New features have also appeared, such as archiving scores from multiple competitions, teams leaderboards, photo galleries, and a marketplace where synchro fans can sell or search for items. Go check it out!

In addition to this, several video productions have been produced such as the "One Day With" with the Marigold IceUnity team, and a new video format with the Zoulous from France. Find these episodes on our Youtube channel.

The Jura Synchro team also had the chance to be closer to the athletes and organizers during two major events: the Neuchâtel Trophy in Switzerland and the Seniors World Championships in Sweden.

2019: Let's see bigger

Since 2015, the media Jura Synchro has continued to grow and grow. Since the new website, the number of "page views" has significantly increased and we will continue to make our sport more widely known through various novelties.

In a few days, we will propose a new series of articles. Every week, a woman will explain her passion for synchronized skating. Coach, athlete, judge, fan, mother... we will try once a week to put a woman forward while travelling in different countries around the world.

Several video reports are also planned during this new year. To not miss anything, you can subscribe to our channel via this link.

As a bonus, we invite you to discover the most watched video on our channel during this year 2018:

Regarding the website, it will continue to be improved over the months and we're also planning to write more articles during the season and in summer so that synchro can live with you throughout the year.

Our good resolutions

As for many people, Jura Synchro has also some good resolutions for 2019.

We will continue to fund advertising campaigns on social networks to make our sport known to the greatest number. Moreover, we really would like to thank you for liking and sharing our articles, photos and videos. Every action and every like helps the sport to move forward and to be seen by your own friends and community.

Although the task is sometimes difficult and requires more research and time, we will try to talk more often about smaller teams. We will try to put them forward so that the readers can have a more global view of the world of synchro and how it works in other countries.

Finally, in the more journalistic side, we are drafting an editorial charter to increase the quality of the media. Over the months and years, we have collected several opinions, all constructive! We keep them, debate and evaluate opportunities to improve, and then we adjust our methods and ways of doing things. We always do our best to make the synchro stories and recaps as accurate and comprehensive as possible. Your comments are obviously welcome. If you have suggestions or remarks, you can go to our contact form.

Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to read this article to the end. By doing this, you are already contributing to the development of Jura Synchro.

The whole team joins me in wishing you a Happy New Year 2019 and we would like to thank especially the correspondents, translators, proofreaders and photographers who are working voluntarily for this sport.

Thank you all and long live synchro.
