Biasca Trophy 2016

Synchro season comes to end for a lot of teams. Some finished their season in Biasca, in the Italian part of Switzerland. Biasca Trophy gathered this year almost 30 teams from Switzerland but also Italy, Czech Republic, and Germany. Let's have a look at this competition.

The competition started on Saturday in Biasca, Ticino.

In the Basic Novice field, victory went to the Italian champions Ladybirds from Milan. They won the competition with 33,06 points. Two Czech teams completed the podium : Ice Flowers (32,24 points) and Kometa (29,15 points). Then, ranking continues with teams from Italy and Czech Republic. The best Swiss are the Starlight from Zürich who finished 7th (22,69 points).

The Adult category gathered 3 teams this weekend. The Czech All Stars took the 1st place with 37,50 points. They are followed by the Starlight Diamonds from Zürich, Switzerland, and the Italian Sunrice Gold (30,60 points).

On Sunday, the biggest category was Mixed Age. To no one's surprise, Snowflakes from Huttwil (SUI) did the best with 59,23 points. The team of Monka Schneider skated a program on the racing's theme. At the 2nd place : the Italian Olimpia from Como (49,24 points). This Lombard team gathered skaters aged over 15 years old. And at the 3rd place of this 9th Biasca Trophy, Crazy Splinters from Roma (48,34 points). A total of 11 Mixed Age teams were fighting for the trophy.

By the Advanced Novice, Hot Shivers from Milan won the competition with 44,74 points. The Cool Dreams from Burgdorf, Switzerland finished at the 2nd place (28,73 points).

And only one team was registered in the Senior ISU category. Munich Synergy presented his two programs in Biasca. This team from South Germany received a total score of 85,83 points.
