Representing Hungary, Team Passion from Budapest is preparing for the Worlds next week in Sweden. Interview with the team captain.

The season is quite finished… How was your preparation?
Team Passion: The season started a little rough because the team changed a lot. Throughout the summer we worked on improving our technical skills and practiced different elements so building new programs would be easier for the new skaters. In the fall, Andrea Dohány, the head coach and the founder of Team Surprise, came to Budapest to do our programs. Every year she chooses the music and does the choreography for both of our programs. Because of the changes our team went through early in the season and the unusually late start with the programs, we weren't sure if we would be able to participate in the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships held in Stockholm, Sweden this year. Now, after competing and showing our great potential at the Hungarian National Championships, we know that we will make it to the Worlds Championships again and are really proud of our development so far.

Did you maintain your good team spirit?
Of course, it's always sad when your friends leave the team but we're also happy to have such amazing new teammates. Our team has now a really good team spirit. We love spending time with each other outside of the rink too and we’re doing a lot of team activities together.

What about your competitions this season?
In the very beginning of this year, we became the Hungarian national champions once again. After that, we competed at the Mozart Cup in Salzburg (6th - score: 124.60) and at the Spring Cup in Milan (4th - score: 136.14). We're satisfied with both of the competitions but especially thrilled about our two great performances and a fourth place in Milan! At the Budapest Cup, we performed our programs at the home rink in front of all of our friends and family (5th - score: 128.02). The last competition of the season will be the World Championships in April.

Team Passion will be Hungary's representative at the Senior Synchronized Skating World Championships. The competition will be held on 6 and 7 April in Stockholm, Sweden.
