The countdown is on! This Friday and Saturday, the world’s best junior synchronized skating teams will compete at the ISU World Junior Championships 2025 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Meet the teams ready to take on the challenge—country by country.

Teams Italy
Just like in 2024, Italy has earned the right to send two teams to the World Junior Championships. Let's start with Ladybirds from Milan, who made their debut last season with a solid 14th-place finish. Coached by Cristina Francesca Pastorelli and Andrea Martina Perelli, they will bring intensity to the ice with their free program Ring of Fire.

And the second team is a regular at the World Junior Championships. Hot Shivers has long been a strong representative for Italy on the international stage. Their best result came in 2023 with a 7th-place finish, and after securing 8th last year, they helped Italy qualify two teams for this edition. Coached by Andrea Gilardi, they will bring emotion to the ice with their programs.

Team Japan
Back for their third World Junior Championships, Jingu Ice Messengers from Tokyo are ready to compete. After a solid 10th-place finish last year, they’ll bring precision and energy to Tucker by Joe Jackson in their short program. Their free program, inspired by Attack on Titan, promises a fierce and intense performance. Coached by Ken Tanabe and Marie Yamada, they are determined to push higher in the standings.

A punchy short program is on the way—are you ready to dance? Team Ice Fire from Gdansk will set the tone with Girls Power in the short program, bringing energy and attitude to the ice. Coached by Agnieszka Filipowicz and Marcin Miedlarz, they finished 11th last season, just shy of their best-ever result, an 8th place in 2023. Determined to regain their spot among the world’s top teams, they’ll be one to watch.
