Team Unique took the victory on Sunday in Finland

With an excellent free program, Team Unique kept the lead after Saturday's short program and won the competition. In the Junior category, Team Fintastic claimed the gold medal and Valley Bay Synchronics won the Novice division. The Novice and Junior category teams compete for a place in the Finnish championships, where the 12 best teams for both series are selected. The teams will be announced soon after this competition.

The exciting competition day culminated again in the Seniors' fantastic free programs. All teams performed without problems, so the judges were able to compare clean performances.
Team Unique was brilliantly enlivened by music and stood out from other teams, especially with the Program Component Score 74.60. Their technique was also flawless and the program “He Had it Coming” got 149.49 points. Team Unique claimed the gold medal with a total score of 227.17 points.
Helsinki Rockettes got the silver medal with a total score of 223.59. They made no mistakes and the performance progressed smoothly from element to element. This free program “Criminal” brought them 146.86 points.
On Sunday Marigold IceUnity did very well in their free program “Sandstorm”. They improved their season-best score and got 140.47 points for it and finished in third place with a score of 209.60 points.

As in the first qualification competition, Lumineers couldn´t keep their third position after the short program. Their free program “Frida” was skated with great passion and earned 135.93 points. With a total score of 205.79, they finished 4rd in the final standings.
The Junior competition was extremely exciting: Team Fintastic took the victory In the Junior series, the excitement was in the air and inspired the spectators to cheer loudly.The competition between the top five teams was quite tight after the short program competition, but in the end, the differences between the teams were clear.
Team Fintastic kept the lead and won the competition. They got slightly the best free program scores 120.75 and they were ranked first with 189.34 points in the whole competition. There were a few inaccuracies in the program “The Dragon” skated in their fiery red outfits, but the good score of the short program guaranteed them a clear victory.

The second position went to Valley Bay Synchro. Their mystical program “The Swan of Tuonela” was a success and the atmosphere of the program captured the audience. They got 120.52 points and a total score of 186.11 points.
Dream Edges couldn´t hold its second position in Sunday's competition. Their free program “Recovery” was flawless and they skated confidently but got 117.4 and ended up in third place with a total score of 185.25 points.
Team Mystique succeeded very well in their free program “Savage Daughter”. They got a score of 115.74 and improved their ranking to the fourth place gathering a total amount of 180.89 points.
Musketeers finished in fifth place after a touching free program “The Brothers Lionheart” that brought them 113.36 points. Their overall result was 178.71.
Dream Edges couldn´t hold its second position in Sunday's competition. Their free program “Recovery” was flawless and they skated confidently but got 117.4 and ended up in third place with a total score of 185.25 points.

The performance of the “Year of the Dragon” was fast-paced, well-organized and well-controlled, except for a couple of small tumbles. They were really happy with the win and the huge score improvement: more than 13 points compared to the first qualification competition.

Team Finettes took second place skating their program “Catwoman” with good speed and they earned 72.62 points. There was one fall and some other small mistakes, but otherwise, the program went smoothly.
This time Blue Arrows had good self-confidence and there were no falls in their free program “What if?”. The choreography was well designed to match the music and the skaters seemed to enjoy performing it. The team sits in 3rd place, scoring 71.42 points.
Finnish Nationals will take place on 1.-2.3. 2025 in Helsinki.
