Participating teams - part 2
Team Australia
It has certainly been a long journey for the 20 Iceskateers Elite skaters who have already arrived in Austria on Monday. The team coached by Hayley Marcovich trains in Brisbane. This season, they are skating a dynamic and original short program to songs by Hwasa. For the free program, the Australian team chose the theme of Grease.

Team Austria
On the contrary, this team has only 5 hours by car to reach Innsbruck. Team Colibris Vienna is coached by Sabine Konrath, Susanna Konrath and Päivi Putkonen. You will see this team in colorful costumes on the ice, in pink and then in purple/blue. The team participated in one international competition this season, the Mozart Cup, finishing 6th with 88.61 points. This will be their very first Junior World championships.

Team Canada 1
Crowned Canadian Champions a few weeks ago, Les Suprêmes Junior from Saint-Leonard, Quebec, will be the first Canadian team. Sixth in 2020, the team of Marilyn Langlois, Pascal Denis and Kassandra Patenaude has concocted two very different programs: a free program, created last year already because of Covid, called "Radium girls," telling how radium could change the lives of workers, and also a short program skated to a classical piece and inspired by the horror movie "47 Meters Down". So there will be suspense, stress and... sharks!

Team Canada 2
Canadian vice-champions Nexxice from Burlington, Ontario, will also represent Canada. Coached by Trish Perdue-Mills and Julia Mills-Bolton, the skaters will skate to B.O.B's "New York New York" for the free program. Fifth at the last Worlds, Nexxice will be fighting for the podium this year.

Team Croatia
The Croatian team Zagreb Snowflakes is back on the international scene this weekend. The last time the public saw them was in 2020 at the World Championships before the Covid pandemic! Led by Ozana Miljkovic and Natasa Bahat, the team will skate on "Hit the Road Jack" and "The Super Lounge Orchestra" for the short, and on the "Mask" in the free program.

Team Harmonia will represent Prague and the Czech Republic this weekend. Created in 2019, the team has a strong coaching staff this season (Katerina Urbanova, Megan Ramsay, Frantz-Michaël Rouffanche and Stepanka Tumova) and finished 4th at the Mozart Cup in January (105.44). Their colorful and creative programs this season could well put them in the top 10.

Team Finland 1

Vice world champions in 2013, 2015 and 2017 and World champions in 2020, Milja Sarkkinen's team will skate their short program "Force of Her Nature" and their free "Brand new soul". The team won two national qualifications in Finland and the nationals last week.

Team Finland 2
After a tough contest, the Musketeers (also from Helsinki) got second place for Finland at Junior Worlds. Their short program "Light at the end of the tunnel" (see video below) and their free skate "Magic Carpet" were convincing. The team of Anu Oksanen, Maikki Merilehto and Tiina Pesonen won the Neuchâtel Trophy in mid-February in Switzerland. Their last participation in the World Championships was in 2017 in Canada where the team finished 3rd. The Musketeers have already won gold twice at the Worlds, in 2013 and 2015.

Finishing 6th at the French Cup last month, the team will leave Tuesday for Austria.
