Cancelled in 2020 due to Covid, then again in 2021, this year will be the good one! The first edition of the Ice Crystal Trophy will be held on April 23, 2022, in Ghent, Belgium. The competition is dedicated to non-ISU teams.

Located about an hour from Brussels in Belgium, the city of Ghent is worth a visit. The city is the second most populated municipality in Belgium.

The Ice Crystal Trophy, an international competition for Interclub (non-ISU) teams, will be held there. The event will host teams in Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Basic Novice, Junior B, Mixed Age, Adult and Senior B divisions. All of them will compete with their free program.

Organized by the Gentse Schaatsclub Kristallijn, the event will take place on Saturday 23 April in the ice rink "IJsbaan Kristallijn". See the map in our previous article.

All members of the International Skating Union listed on ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2021 are invited to enter teams at the Ice Crystal Trophy 2022.

After being forced to cancel the competition in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid, the organizers are confident for this year. "Third attempt, the good one!" noted Kathy from the Organizing Committee.

Please note that unofficial practice is available on April 22, 2022.

Register this week!
Don't wait to register your team. The deadline for the Preliminary Entry form (entries by number) is Monday, February 28, 2022. As the competition will be held on one day, entries will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis upon receiving the complete forms and payment, in case maximum teams are reached.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact the Organizing Committee by email: info@icecrystaltrophy.be!
