Spectacular comebacks, creativity and bad surprises... There was a bit of everything. Ten international teams competed on Sunday at the Marie Lundmark Trophy in Finland. Summary of the free programs!
Going onto the ice, the Sunrise 1 skaters were eager to show what they could do. Indeed, their performance the day before had several unfortunate falls. And they succeeded! The Russians skated a magnificent program to "The Queen's Gambit" with a new creative circle element, of which the team is now the queen. The team from St. Petersburg totalled 129.24 points for the free program and 188.72 in total, thus passing from 4th to 2nd place!
Presenting their free program "Trickery Game", Team Mystique was a little less lucky than the day before. The skaters had to deal with two falls, the first in the intersection at the beginning of the program, and the second at the end of the Pivot Block. However, the team of Mirjami and Ville Penttinen skated an energetic program with some very nice synchronized spins. With 115.60 points received on Sunday, the team finally finished 4th in the final ranking.
Leader after the short programs, the Russian team Junost arrived on the ice last, wearing very typical and colourful dresses. Indeed, the team skated its "Spanish Capriccio" with brio, speed and elegance. The team dazzled in particular thanks to its very beautiful element No Hold! Junost Junior won the competition hands down (and more than 15 points ahead) totalling 203.78 points.

Despite its youth, Dream Edges Senior is already clearly a part of the senior top. The talented team skated "Romance" with delicacy and charisma. Two falls occurred at the end of the program, but this did not affect the overall great performance. The team lost another deduction point for an "interruption in excess", totalling 197.28 over the weekend.
Junost Senior made his debut on the international stage. This brand new team skated a Queen medley on Sunday. The team, composed of many known faces of several junior skaters (probably double skaters), skated boldly and accurately in red and black costumes. Junost finished with 206.01 points and 3rd place.
The Helsinki Rockettes first skated "Digital Twin". The team led by Kaisa Arrateig performed a very nice program with an interesting choreography full of details. In their futuristic blue costumes, the RCKTs have exploded the score by collecting 145.37 points on Sunday, and thus 220.95 points in total!
Finally, Team Unique entered the big rink (empty, Covid obliges) of Turku. The team performed "A Star is Born", a program from the famous movie with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. The performance did not go as well as the day before. Team Unique fell at the very beginning of the program in the Moves and let the first place slip away (total score: 214.51).
