The first stage of the Challenger Series started Thursday evening in Gdansk, Poland, with the junior short programs.

Skating in the 2nd group, Crystal Ice achieved the best score of the day (70.63). The Russian team skated a very energetic program in black and red dresses, starting the program with very nice moves.

Valley Bay Synchro finished 2nd in the competition after their program "The Giving tree" scoring 64.45. With a six point gap, the Finnish team will have to present a perfect program tomorrow to reach the gold.

Teams Elite Junior (USA) finished in third place after a program that brought them 57.88 points. Despite two falls in the twizzles, the team showed great energy during the performance.

The local team, Ice Fire Junior, was able to create a nice surprise during the short programs, finishing 4th, between the two U.S. teams. Lexettes finished in provisional 5th place. Team Illuminettes from the Netherlands and Team Le Soleil from Poland complete the ranking.
