Team Unique and Team Fintastic took the top spots in the short program competition

The second qualification competition of Finnish synchro teams is taking place this weekend in Espoo. On Saturday, Seniors and Juniors competed with their short programs. Team Unique in Seniors and Team Fintastic in Juniors are leading the competition after the first day. The differences between the points of the top teams are small, so the free program competition will be fascinating.
In the Juvenile and Novice categories, the teams are divided into two groups.
On Saturday, Team Sympatique was the winner of the first group of Juveniles. They skated their program with good speed and enthusiasm and earned 35.39 points. The silver medalist was Valley Bay Synchronettes. Their perky program “Dance Battle of Tropical Birds” got 33.18 points. Team Ice Melody skaters looked almost like real “Mermaids,” which was their theme. They won third place and a total score of 30.64.
On Saturday, Team Sympatique was the winner of the first group of Juveniles. They skated their program with good speed and enthusiasm and earned 35.39 points. In the Novice competition, Team Dynamique took an overwhelming victory. Their program “The Story of Harley Quin” was technically challenging, but the skaters executed it successfully. They earned 79.47 points.
Valley Bay Syncronics skated their theme, “The Genesis of Symphony beautifully”. They got the silver medals earning 68.31 points.
The third, CrystalBlades, had a good mood and speed, which perfectly fitted their theme “Rock Tour”. They were only 0.21 points short of the silver medallists having a total score of 68.10.

Junior ISU
The battle for the overall victory will be tight in the Junior category. The top teams' point differences are minor, so even the slightest failures can be crucial on Sunday's free program competition.
Team Fintastic took the top spot with their excellent performance of the theme "Force of Her Nature". Their skating had a good flow without mistakes. They earned a total score of 66,81 points.
Dream Edges Junior placed second on Saturday evening. Their touching program "A child's road in the wilderness of the earth" brought them 62.24 points, leaving Valley Bay Syncro third with a small difference in scores. They succeeded very well in their "The Giving Tree" program and got a total score of 62.12.
Team Mystique, with 61.72 points, was fourth. Musketeers took the fifth palace with a total score of 59.54.

The day's excitement culminated in the Seniors' competition, where the first team on the ice was Dream Edges Senior. They displayed strong skills with their vigorous program "Prodigy", earning a total score of 67.09 points. They finished in fourth place on the first day.
Team Unique, the winner of the first qualification competition one month ago, was second on the ice. Their deeply emotional program "Merci" was again victorious, and the team received a total score of 73.36 points. They are currently leading the competition.

Helsinki Rockettes skated third. Their technic was good, and the interpretation was convincing. Their seductive appearance in the “Femme Fatale” program brought them 73.02 points and second place. There was one unfortunate fall in the program.
Marigold IceUnity skated fourth. Their performance of the “Nordic Spirit” program was consistently assured, and they received 71.66 points. Ranking: third.
The home team, Lumineers appear last. They got 60.96 points and fifth place. Their program “Dance Macabre” had gained more expressive power compared to the first competition, with an impactful and beautiful ending to competition day.
