"I have been a synchro-mum for 15 years, five years of that as a team leader when my daughter skated in a junior team. I can´t even remember in how many competitions I have been but it´s always as exciting as at the first time. A little embarrassing detail of me is that for some years I skated myself in an adult team. It was not very beautiful to watch but because of that experience I have a feeling from what it is to practice and to compete."
What does synchronized skating mean to you?

Helsinki Rockettes and Team Unique will go to Worlds
In the most important competition of the Finnish synchronized skating season, the Helsinki Rockettes succeeded excellently. Their powerful program "Manaus (Incantation)" received 153.38 points, and they earned 230.65 overall scores. This result secured them the gold medals, and they will be Team Finland 1 in the Senior World Championships next April. Team Unique was appointed as Team Finland 2.
Canadian teams are leading the second Marie Lundmark Trophy in cold and sunny Helsinki
The Challenger series culminates this weekend, February 10-11, for the second Marie Lundmark Trophy in history. The reigning World Champion, Canada's Les Suprêmes, is leading the Senior competition after the short program. Also, in the Junior series, Canadians are in the lead when Les Suprêmes Junior succeeded perfectly in their performance. In addition to the reigning World Cup medalists, tough United States and Canada contenders are seen on the ice.
Tight competition in all divisions in Helsinki
This weekend it is time for the second qualification competition of ISU synchronized skating in Finland, Helsinki. On Saturday, the group 2 of Novice teams skated their free programs, Seniors and Juniors competed with their short programs. The competition in every division was extremely tight, only a few tenths separate the top teams from each other.
Team Unique is the new champion!
In the most important competition of the Finnish synchronized skating season, Team Unique succeeded on Sunday. With their positive program “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”, they secured the gold medal and qualified Team Finland 1 in the Senior World Championships in Lake Placid next April.
