The season’s first Challenger Series event unfolds in Austria

The first Challenger Series event of the season takes place at the Eisarena in Salzburg, Austria.
The Mozart Cup, one of the most anticipated international competitions this year, kicks off in Salzburg, Austria. As the first event in the Challenger Series, it sets the stage for a thrilling season, with top Junior and Senior teams from around the globe vying for international medals.

The competition spans three action-packed days. On Friday, the Junior and Senior short programs will open the event, followed by Saturday’s free programs and the Advanced Novice category. Sunday will conclude with performances in Mixed Age, Basic Novice, Adult, and Juvenile divisions. 64 teams will compete over the three days.
Strong Junior lineup promises excitementThe Junior division, featuring 18 teams, is shaping up to be particularly competitive. Top teams to watch include the United States' Northernettes and Team Image, as well as Finland's Team Fintastic and Valley Bay Synchro. Nevertheless, the 10 other countries represented have not said their last word.
Senior stars and Canadian absence
The Senior competition includes nine teams, with the Helsinki Rockettes from Finland expected to be a major force. Two American teams will also dazzle the crowd and perhaps create a surprise by taking the top spots.
However, the absence of Canadian teams this year is notable. While the Mozart Cup unfolds, Canadian teams are participating in their National Championships, held in Laval, Quebec, shifting the competitive landscape in both the Junior and Senior categories.
