The highlight in international figure skating in Finland is getting closer, namely Finlandia Trophy! This is the 6th year synchronized skating teams are participating in the competition that will take place on October 7th in Espoo-Metro Arena. Six teams from three different countries will fight for the gold medal with their short programs.

Team Unique (FIN)

This year´s Team Unique skaters truly are unique considering their short program. The husband of the team´s former captain has composed the entire music to the short program. The team has won Finlandia two times and has, therefore, the most wins in the competition.

Rockettes (FIN)

After last year´s good achievements, Rockettes are ready for a new season. The team has many new skaters and it will be exciting to see how they succeed this year with an updated assembly.

Marigold Ice Unity (FIN)

MIU is the ruling Finnish champions and world champion silver medallists. Last year the team skated the nationalistic free program "Finland 100" to celebrate Finland´s commemorative year 2017. What kind of program will the team deliver this year? Do they further continue the celebration in this year’s short program?

Lumineers (FIN)

Lumineers is a completely new team from Espoo. The team has members from the old team "Revolutions" and another figure skating club in the town. Let´s see what the new team can bring us!

Team Paradise (RUS)

Team Paradise is one of the two non-Finnish teams in the competition. The ruling world champions from Russia won Finlandia Trophy last year and it will be interesting to find out if the team can defend their title.

Team Boomerang (SWE)

The newbie in the competition this year is Team Boomerang from Sweden. It is great that more teams from different countries are joining the competition and hopefully the amount participants will grow in the future.

The participating teams will present their new short program on Saturday October 7th at 9 PM (local time) in Espoo, Finland. Find all the information about this competition!
