Team Junost is the new Junior World Champion. But who is exactly this team from Russia? Read now our interview made just after their victory in Canada.

How do you feel after your victory at Junior Worlds?

Team Junost: If you asked about our feelings, we still can't believe that we are the champions!

What were your team goals?

Team Junost: After the short program, we didn't think about place and goals, we concentrated on presenting a good and clean performance. Our aim was to beat ourselves.

Were the Worlds your last competition of the season?

Team Junost: Yes! And this results was the best of the season.

So, how did your team live this 2016-2017 season?

Team Junost: It was a really strained season because of the struggle between Russian teams. Unfortunately, it was the first time after 15 years we had become the second team in Russia.

Do you know team Russia 1 well?

Team Junost: We almost don't know team Russia 1 personally and meet with them only on the ice during competitions.

This year, Team Junost short program was about attractive and desired girls, who broke lots of men's hearts. Their free program was based on the famous ballet "Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky. The athletes told a story about proud, lordly, untouchable bird, whose feather brings the luck and happiness. « In the story, a lot of people tried to get the feather, but nobody couldn't do it! », adds the team.
